I am a BACP Accredited therapist offering short-term and long-term psychotherapeutic counselling for adults and young people aged 16 and older. I offer in-person sessions in my Brighton & Hove practice rooms, walking therapy, and I also work online.

My approach prioritises the relationship between the two of us as a safe and confidential place to explore whatever is going on for you.  More about my approach here.

You might be in the midst of a crisis, feeling stressed, overwhelmed or disconnected, or wanting to come to terms with something that happened long ago. Or possibly you are feeling stuck in a cycle of difficult feelings, thoughts and behaviours, or unable to find meaning, peace or happiness in life.

Counselling can help a person to increase self-awareness and deepen understanding about feelings, relationships and behaviour patterns, and to develop strategies and resilience in response to life’s challenges. You might want to find new ways to manage trauma and distress, navigate a life transition, or explore relationship dynamics that are not working for you.

More about how counselling can help is here.

I have a long term interest in the healing potential of expanded states of consciousness, and I offer preparation and integration therapy for people interested in psychedelic or breathwork experiences. More information here.

The next step would be to arrange an initial 20-minute conversation by phone or video.  It is important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with, and this session is for us to see whether we feel that we could be a good fit.

ABOUT

ABOUT ME

I trained in humanistic psychotherapeutic counselling and I have been practicing in Brighton and Hove since 2017. In addition to my private practice, I am a psychedelic-assisted therapist on clinical research trials. I have also previously worked as a secondary school counsellor, and as an honorary counsellor for an LGBTQ mental health charity.

I work with any issues someone might bring to counselling.

Through my experience, training and research, I have gained a special interest in:

  • Preparation and integration for psychedelic experiences

  • Life transitions and coping with change

  • Mental health diagnoses and recovery

  • Depression, anxiety

  • Exploration of sexuality and identity, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, heterosexual, asexual, and changing or questioning sexuality.

  • Diversity of gender identity and expression, including trans, non-binary, masculine, feminine and fluctuating gender identity, and its impact on sense of self and relationships

  • Diversity of relationship models and/or sexual practices, e.g. monogamous, poly, open, casual, kink/BDSM, etc.
